We are excited to announce an opportunity to join Borgarfjordur Community Cultural Center located in the Eastern Region of Iceland. Our center is dedicated to enriching lives through arts and cultural programs that inspire creativity and foster community connections.
About the Role:
Position: Community Engagement Specialist
Are you passionate about connecting people through art and culture? Do you have a flair for communication and outreach initiatives that make a positive impact?
We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead our community engagement efforts, driving awareness and participation in our cultural activities. The Community Engagement Specialist will work closely with local stakeholders, organizations, and the public to promote our programs and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute community engagement strategies to increase awareness
- Collaborate with local partners to enhance cultural outreach
- Organize events and activities that promote arts and culture in the community
- Create compelling content for social media, newsletters, and promotional materials
- Evaluate and report on the impact of community engagement efforts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Communication, Marketing, or related field
- Previous experience in community engagement, event planning, or related roles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for arts, culture, and community development
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
