Position: Agricultural Development Specialist

Job Description:

Research and evaluate agricultural development opportunities in the Bristol Bay region.
Collaborate with local farmers, government agencies, and indigenous communities to identify needs and opportunities.
Develop and implement strategies to promote sustainable agricultural practices and improve rural livelihoods.
Provide technical assistance and training to farmers to enhance their productivity and efficiency.
Create and manage agricultural development projects, including grant applications and budgets.
Evaluate and monitor project outcomes to ensure goals are met and make necessary adjustments.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Experience working with rural communities and understanding their specific agricultural challenges.
Demonstrated knowledge of sustainable agricultural practices and resource management.
Strong research and analytical skills to identify opportunities and assess feasibility.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and travel within the Bristol Bay region.
