We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Environmental Impact Analyst to join the team at the New York City Department of Sanitation. As an Environmental Impact Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and assessing the environmental footprint of our operations in New York City.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and analysis to understand and mitigate the environmental impact of sanitation services within the city
- Collaborate with various departments to develop strategies for reducing waste and enhancing sustainability initiatives
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of environmental programs and propose improvements
- Prepare reports and presentations on findings and recommendations related to environmental sustainability
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance with environmental standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geography, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- Proven experience in environmental research and analysis
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
