We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a Civic Rights and Governance Specialist to join the dynamic team at Egilsstadir Community Gardening Association. We are looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate about ensuring legal compliance, promoting community well-being, and fostering sustainable growth within our organization.

Job Title: Civic Rights and Governance Specialist

Location: Eastern Region, Iceland

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Advise on legal matters impacting community development initiatives and activities.
Work closely with stakeholders to address governance issues and promote transparency within the organization.
Conduct research on civic rights, regulations, and best practices to support decision-making processes.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a strong legal foundation for community gardening projects.
Provide training and support to staff and volunteers on legal and governance-related topics.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Law, Political Science, Public Administration, or a related field.
Experience in legal research, policy analysis, or governance is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Passion for community development and civic engagement.
