We are looking for a passionate individual to join our team as a Community Legal Liaison at Akureyri Community History Museum in Iceland's Northeastern Region. This role is pivotal in ensuring legal compliance and ethical standards are met, fostering a strong sense of social responsibility within our organization.

Job Title: Community Legal Liaison

Location: Akureyri Community History Museum, Northeastern Region, Iceland

Responsibilities:

Advise on legal matters pertaining to museum operations and community engagement initiatives
Develop and implement policies to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
Act as a key point of contact between the museum and legal authorities
Collaborate with internal teams to address legal issues and mitigate risks
Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations
Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, and legal documents
Provide guidance to staff on legal matters affecting day-to-day activities
Support the museum's commitment to social responsibility and environmental conservation

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Law or related field
Previous experience in legal advisory roles preferred
Strong understanding of Icelandic legal system and regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively and independently
Passion for promoting social responsibility and community engagement
