We are looking for a passionate individual to join our team as a Community Legal Liaison at Akureyri Community History Museum in Iceland's Northeastern Region. This role is pivotal in ensuring legal compliance and ethical standards are met, fostering a strong sense of social responsibility within our organization.
Job Title: Community Legal Liaison
Location: Akureyri Community History Museum, Northeastern Region, Iceland
Responsibilities:
- Advise on legal matters pertaining to museum operations and community engagement initiatives
- Develop and implement policies to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
- Act as a key point of contact between the museum and legal authorities
- Collaborate with internal teams to address legal issues and mitigate risks
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations
- Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, and legal documents
- Provide guidance to staff on legal matters affecting day-to-day activities
- Support the museum's commitment to social responsibility and environmental conservation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law or related field
- Previous experience in legal advisory roles preferred
- Strong understanding of Icelandic legal system and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Passion for promoting social responsibility and community engagement
