Social Responsibility Position: Community Legal Liaison

We are looking for a passionate individual to join our team as a Community Legal Liaison at Akureyri Community History Museum in Iceland's Northeastern Region. This role is pivotal in ensuring legal compliance and ethical standards are met, fostering a strong sense of social responsibility within our organization.

Job Title: Community Legal Liaison

Location: Akureyri Community History Museum, Northeastern Region, Iceland

Responsibilities:

  • Advise on legal matters pertaining to museum operations and community engagement initiatives
  • Develop and implement policies to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
  • Act as a key point of contact between the museum and legal authorities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address legal issues and mitigate risks
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, and legal documents
  • Provide guidance to staff on legal matters affecting day-to-day activities
  • Support the museum's commitment to social responsibility and environmental conservation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law or related field
  • Previous experience in legal advisory roles preferred
  • Strong understanding of Icelandic legal system and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Passion for promoting social responsibility and community engagement
