Job Description:

Position: Health and Safety Officer

Industry: Healthcare/Medical

Responsibilities:

Conduct regular safety inspections across the organization to identify potential hazards and maintain a safe working environment
Develop and implement effective strategies to prevent accidents, injuries, and illnesses in compliance with relevant safety regulations
Create and deliver employee training programs on safety protocols and best practices
Develop and update safety policies and procedures to ensure continuous improvement
Manage and maintain safety equipment and supplies
Investigate and report on workplace accidents and incidents, making recommendations for improvement
Stay up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and industry best practices

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field
Proven experience as a Health and Safety Officer or similar role
Sound knowledge of safety regulations and standards
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety standards
Professional certifications in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) will be an added advantage
