About the Role: Wildlife Engagement Specialist

Are you passionate about Kenya's wildlife and want to contribute to its sustainable development? We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Wildlife Engagement Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for fostering engagement with the local community and stakeholders to promote the importance of wildlife conservation and to drive positive social change.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement creative strategies to engage our target audience and increase awareness about wildlife conservation.
  • Create compelling content for various platforms to inspire and educate the public about our conservation efforts and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify partnership opportunities and drive community involvement in conservation projects.
  • Organize and facilitate community events, workshops, and presentations to promote wildlife conservation.
  • Maintain a strong online presence for KWCA on various platforms, ensuring consistent messaging and timely responses to inquiries.
  • Monitor and analyze social media trends and engagement metrics to optimize outreach efforts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key influencers, media outlets, and organizations to amplify our conservation messages.

Requirements:

  • A strong passion for wildlife conservation and a deep understanding of Kenya's biodiversity.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
  • Proven experience in marketing, communications, or community engagement roles.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in digital content creation and social media management.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in community engagement.
  • An innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and growth.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, environmental studies, or a related field.
