Plains All American Pipeline, a leading energy infrastructure company, is seeking a dedicated and passionate professional to join our team in Texas as an Animal Care Specialist. Our company values professionalism and excellence, and we are committed to providing the highest level of care to the animals in our facilities.
Your Responsibilities:
- Ensure the well-being and safety of animals in our care
- Develop and implement comprehensive animal care programs
- Handle and restrain animals when necessary
- Provide proper nutrition and administer medications as required
- Monitor animals' health and identify any signs of illness or injury
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of animal enclosures
- Document and maintain accurate records of animal behavior, health, and treatments
Requirements:
- Prior experience in animal care or related field
- Ability to handle animals with care and compassion
- Strong knowledge of animal behavior and basic veterinary techniques
- Excellent observation and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Physical stamina to perform tasks requiring moderate physical exertion
