We are looking for passionate individuals with a love for all things that soar through the skies. Akureyri Community Senior Center, located in the breathtaking Northeastern Region of Iceland, is seeking an Aviation Enthusiast to join our team.

The Role

As an Aviation Enthusiast, you will be responsible for organizing and delivering programs and events related to aviation. Your main goal will be to foster a sense of wonder, excitement, and curiosity among our seniors, encouraging them to explore the fascinating world of aviation.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement engaging aviation-themed activities, workshops, and presentations for seniors.
Facilitate discussions and create educational materials that promote aviation knowledge and history.
Collaborate with local aviation enthusiasts, experts, and organizations to arrange special events and guest speakers.
Coordinate field trips to airports, aviation museums, and airshows for our senior members.
Stay up-to-date with aviation industry news, trends, and advancements to ensure the delivery of current and relevant content to our audience.

Requirements:

A deep passion for aviation and aerospace.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of local aviation resources and contacts is a plus.
