Position: Animal Wellness Specialist
GAC (Grevenmacher Legal Aid Center) is seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as an Animal Wellness Specialist. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the well-being of animals while continuously developing your skills and expertise.
Role Overview:
- Assess and monitor the overall health and wellness of animals visiting our center.
- Provide specialized care, nutrition advice, and develop customized wellness programs to ensure the specific needs of each animal are met.
- Create and implement effective animal enrichment activities and programs to promote their mental and physical well-being.
- Collaborate with veterinary professionals to address medical concerns and support the recovery of animals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of animals' health, behavior, and nutritional needs.
- Design personalized wellness programs based on animals' individual requirements.
- Monitor and record animals' progress, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Provide guidance and educate pet owners on proper animal care, behavior, and nutrition.
- Develop and lead animal enrichment activities to enhance their overall quality of life.
- Stay updated with the latest research, trends, and developments in the field of animal wellness.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on animal wellness and client interactions.
Qualifications:
- Passionate about animal welfare and wellness.
- Strong knowledge of animal behavior, nutrition, and health.
- Relevant experience working with animals in a professional capacity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
