About the role

We are seeking an Animal Care Specialist to ensure the well-being and happiness of our beloved performers. In this position, you will be responsible for the care, training, and overall welfare of our animal artists, contributing to their physical and emotional wellness.

Your Responsibilities

Develop and implement specialized care plans for each animal performer.
Provide daily care, including feeding, grooming, exercise, and health monitoring.
Assist with training and rehearsals, ensuring animals are well-prepared for performances.
Coordinate with veterinary professionals to ensure regular check-ups, vaccinations, and preventative care.
Create a safe and stimulating environment for animals to thrive.
Collaborate with the production team to enhance animal performances and ensure seamless integration with shows.
Maintain accurate records of animal health, behaviors, and training progress.
Adhere to strict safety protocols and ethical principles when working with animals.

Requirements

Prior experience working with a variety of animals in a professional environment.
Strong knowledge of animal behavior, training techniques, and husbandry practices.
Compassion and genuine concern for the well-being of animals.
Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.
Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by performances and rehearsals.
