At BancorpSouth Bank, we believe in the importance of corporate social responsibility and strive to make a positive impact on our society and environment. We are currently seeking an Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team and help us further our commitment to sustainability.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement environmental sustainability strategies and programs in alignment with our company's goals and objectives.
Monitor and analyze our environmental performance to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to mitigate our impact on the environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability initiatives into various business operations.
Conduct regular assessments and audits to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and identify opportunities for enhancing sustainability practices.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in environmental sustainability.
Educate employees on sustainability practices and foster a culture of environmental responsibility throughout the organization.
Engage with external stakeholders, such as community partners and government agencies, to enhance our environmental sustainability efforts.
Prepare reports and presentations on our sustainability progress and achievements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainable Business, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience in developing and implementing sustainability initiatives within an organization.
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address sustainability issues.
Ability to effectively communicate complex sustainability concepts to diverse audiences.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with cross-functional teams.
Passion for environmental sustainability and a commitment to making a positive impact.
