Job Opening: Medical Waste Disposal Specialist
Waste Pro is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Waste Disposal Specialist. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient disposal of medical waste, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Your Responsibilities:
- Properly transport and dispose of medical waste using specialized equipment and techniques
- Follow strict safety protocols to minimize potential risks during the disposal process
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to medical waste management
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of waste pickups and disposal activities
- Collaborate with healthcare facilities to develop effective waste reduction strategies
- Provide training to healthcare personnel on proper waste segregation and disposal practices
- Monitor industry trends and regulations to stay up-to-date with best practices in medical waste management
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in waste management, environmental services, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of medical waste disposal regulations and guidelines
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to operate specialized waste disposal equipment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to operate a commercial vehicle
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and withstand exposure to various weather conditions
