Position: Sustainable Resource Manager

Umgeni Water, a leading water utility company operating in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team. We are looking for a Sustainable Resource Manager to oversee our energy and environmental initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize energy consumption and minimize environmental impact
Research and assess renewable energy sources for incorporation into our operations
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental regulations
Monitor and analyze energy usage data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing efficiency measures
Lead and manage projects aimed at reducing carbon footprint and promoting sustainability
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in energy and environmental conservation
Prepare reports on energy usage, environmental performance, and progress towards targeted goals

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management, Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience in energy management and environmental sustainability
Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies and their practical application
Knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to lead and work effectively in cross-functional teams
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
