We are the Lombardy Foundation for Research on Mental Health in Youth (FLIRMHY), a multifaceted organization committed to fostering diversity and inclusivity.
We have an exceptional opening for a Community Engagement Specialist who will play a pivotal role in connecting our research findings and solutions with the diverse communities we serve.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage with various community groups and stakeholders
- Facilitate partnerships and collaborations to promote mental health awareness and support
- Organize and participate in community events to drive engagement and educate on mental health topics
- Identify opportunities for obtaining funding and grants to support community-oriented initiatives
- Conduct research on cultural influences and customs to tailor programs and interventions accordingly
Requirements:
- A passion for mental health advocacy and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by diverse communities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with individuals from various cultures and backgrounds
- Proven experience in community engagement or related fields, with a track record of successful initiatives
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with community organizations and key stakeholders
- Knowledge of mental health services and resources is highly desirable
- Bilingual or multilingual proficiency is an asset
