Position: Rural Development Specialist

Responsibilities:

Identify and implement strategies to promote rural development and sustainable agriculture in Gävleborgs län
Collaborate with local farmers and agricultural businesses to enhance productivity and efficiency
Organize and conduct training programs for farmers on modern agricultural practices, including crop cultivation, animal husbandry, and resource management
Evaluate the impact of new technologies and practices on the agricultural sector
Assist in the development and implementation of funding initiatives to support agricultural projects
Participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness about sustainable agriculture

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Rural Development, Environmental Sciences, or a related field
Knowledge of agricultural techniques, resource management, and sustainable practices
Experience working in a rural setting and interacting with farmers and agricultural communities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
