Artistic Retail Specialist
As an Artistic Retail Specialist, you will play a vital role in our organization by combining your passion for the arts with your expertise in sales and customer service. Your creativity, excellent communication skills, and knowledge of art-related products will contribute to enhancing the experience for both our artists and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with artists, visitors, and customers to provide exceptional service and guidance in their art-related purchases.
- Assist with inquiries, providing product information, and recommending suitable purchases based on individual preferences and artistic needs.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring sufficient stock levels of art supplies, publications, and related merchandise.
- Collaborate with artists to curate displays and create appealing visual merchandising in our retail space.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of effective marketing strategies to promote our retail initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, attending art fairs and exhibitions to discover new artists and products to feature in our store.
- Process sales transactions, handle cash, and manage daily opening and closing procedures.
- Assist in organizing special events and workshops to foster a vibrant arts community.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in retail/sales, preferably within an artistic or creative environment.
- Passion for the arts, with a good understanding of various art forms, mediums, and artists.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and engage with diverse individuals.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Knowledge of art-related products, techniques, and materials.
- Organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work on weekends, evenings, and during special events.
- Proficiency in using POS systems and basic computer skills.
