Job Description:
We are currently looking for a creative and talented individual to join our team at Kunstmuseum Luzern in Lucerne, Switzerland. As a Learning Experience Designer, you will have a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the educational programs and training initiatives we offer. Your main responsibility will be to design innovative learning experiences that engage diverse audiences and promote a deep understanding and appreciation for art.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of interactive workshops, guided tours, and educational materials to cater to various age groups and educational backgrounds.
- Collaborate with our curators, educators, and artists to create engaging and immersive learning experiences.
- Research current trends and best practices in education and interpretive design for museums.
- Assess the effectiveness of our educational programs and make improvements based on feedback and evaluation.
- Develop partnerships with local schools, universities, and community organizations to expand our reach.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in digital technology and incorporate them into our educational offerings.
Requirements:
- A degree in Art History, Museum Studies, or a related field.
- A passion for art and a deep understanding of art history and theory.
- Proven experience designing and delivering educational programs or training.
- Strong creativity and ability to think outside the box when developing learning experiences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English. Knowledge of German is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Flexibility to work on weekends and evenings, as required for events.
