As a Performance Enhancement Specialist, you will be an essential part of our mission to create smarter, healthier communities.



Job Responsibilities

  • Design and implement evidence-based training programs to enhance performance and prevent injuries for athletes and individuals in various sports disciplines.
  • Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments, including strength, endurance, flexibility, and agility tests.
  • Analyze biomechanics and movement patterns to identify areas for improvement.
  • Create personalized performance enhancement plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to athletes to optimize their training techniques and strategies.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of researchers and scientists to develop cutting-edge methodologies and technologies.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in sports science and fitness training.
  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Collaborate with other departments within FLIRSC to promote interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
  • Contribute to research studies focusing on sports performance and human physiology.
  • Participate in conferences, workshops, and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Exercise Science, Human Performance, Kinesiology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating athletic training programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.
  • Familiarity with sports performance technologies, such as motion capture systems and performance tracking devices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Passion for continuous learning and professional development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Certifications in relevant areas (e.g., CSCS, CES, PES) are preferred.
