Job Responsibilities
- Design and implement evidence-based training programs to enhance performance and prevent injuries for athletes and individuals in various sports disciplines.
- Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments, including strength, endurance, flexibility, and agility tests.
- Analyze biomechanics and movement patterns to identify areas for improvement.
- Create personalized performance enhancement plans tailored to individual needs.
- Provide guidance and coaching to athletes to optimize their training techniques and strategies.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of researchers and scientists to develop cutting-edge methodologies and technologies.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in sports science and fitness training.
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
- Collaborate with other departments within FLIRSC to promote interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
- Contribute to research studies focusing on sports performance and human physiology.
- Participate in conferences, workshops, and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Exercise Science, Human Performance, Kinesiology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating athletic training programs.
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.
- Familiarity with sports performance technologies, such as motion capture systems and performance tracking devices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Passion for continuous learning and professional development.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Certifications in relevant areas (e.g., CSCS, CES, PES) are preferred.
