Position Overview

As an Environmental Compliance Specialist, you will work at the intersection of defense initiatives and environmental stewardship. This includes evaluating and monitoring environmental programs, conducting audits, and providing recommendations for improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and enforce compliance with environmental regulations
Conduct audits and assessments of NOAA facilities and operations
Develop and update environmental policies and procedures
Provide expert advice and guidance on environmental matters
Assist in the development and implementation of environmental training programs
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to promote sustainable practices

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, or related field
Experience working in environmental compliance, preferably in a government or military context
