Responsibilities:

Ensuring legal compliance across various business operations in accordance with industry regulations and standards.
Developing, implementing, and maintaining sustainable compliance strategies, policies, and procedures.
Conducting thorough risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and providing recommendations for mitigation and improvement.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to establish and monitor sustainability objectives and targets.
Ensuring Vattenfall AB's environmental policies align with legal requirements and industry best practices.
Managing and overseeing the permitting and licensing process, including applications, renewals, and audits.
Providing guidance and support to cross-functional teams on sustainability-related matters.
Participating in sustainability projects and initiatives to enhance our company's environmental performance.

Requirements:

A degree in environmental law, sustainable business, or a related field.
Proven experience in legal compliance, preferably focused on environmental sustainability within the energy industry.
Thorough understanding of environmental regulations and standards, as well as knowledge of emerging sustainability trends.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to manage complex projects and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Passion for sustainability and a desire to make a positive impact on the environment.
Fluency in English and Swedish, both written and spoken.
