Position Overview:

Ontario Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our dynamic team as a Data Insights Specialist. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in extracting valuable insights from data to drive evidence-based decision-making and support our mission to empower communities and enhance social services across Ontario.

Responsibilities:

Analyze and interpret complex datasets to identify trends and patterns relevant to our mandate
Develop research methodologies and sampling techniques
Design surveys, questionnaires, and polls to collect data from various sources
Use statistical software and advanced analytics tools to process and analyze data
Generate reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights and recommendations
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Social Sciences)
Experience in data analysis, preferably in a research or consulting environment
Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
