Position: Child Advocacy Specialist

Are you passionate about amplifying the voices of children in our healthcare system?
Are you committed to driving change and advocating for policies that enhance children's health and well-being?

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategies to advocate for improved access to quality healthcare for children in Connecticut
Research and analyze policies to identify opportunities for positive change and equitable healthcare outcomes for children
Collaborate with stakeholders, including government officials, community organizations, and healthcare providers, to develop and promote effective child advocacy strategies
Monitor and evaluate the impact of healthcare policies on children's well-being and propose evidence-based recommendations
Contribute to the development of informative reports, policy briefs, and presentations to communicate research findings and influence decision-makers

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Public Health, Social Work, Policy, Public Administration)
2+ years of experience in advocacy, policy analysis, or related fields
Strong understanding of the healthcare landscape as it relates to children and families
Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with diverse stakeholders
Passionate about social justice and equity
