We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our prestigious conservation team in the heart of Namaqualand, Northern Cape. If you are passionate about preserving South Africa's natural beauty and protecting its unique biodiversity, this position is perfect for you.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and security of the Namaqualand Botanical Society's premises, personnel, and visitors
- Implement and enforce stringent security measures
- Conduct regular patrols to monitor and prevent potential threats
- Maintain detailed records of security incidents and actions taken
- Assist with emergency response and crisis management
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and local authorities as required
- Conduct risk assessments and develop comprehensive security plans
- Provide training and guidance to staff regarding security procedures
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a relevant field (e.g., military, law enforcement, private security)
- Strong knowledge of security best practices and techniques
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused during high-pressure situations
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical fitness and ability to work in challenging outdoor environments
- Valid driver's license
- Relevant security certification or training is preferred
