About us:
The Ragusa Environmental Conservation Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Sicily, Italy. Our foundation is committed to preserving and protecting the environment while promoting sustainable practices. We work closely with local communities, businesses, and government entities to raise awareness and inspire action towards a greener future.
Position: Sustainable Resource Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance sustainable resource management and minimize waste in the local area
- Collaborate with local businesses, educational institutions, and government agencies to establish sustainable initiatives and programs
- Provide guidance and support to community members interested in adopting eco-friendly practices
- Monitor and analyze environmental data to assess the impact of ongoing projects and policies
- Engage in fundraising activities to support the foundation's operations and projects
- Conduct research on emerging environmental technologies and best practices
- Organize educational events and workshops to educate the public about sustainable living
- Represent the foundation in public meetings, conferences, and other related events
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field
- Prior experience in environmental conservation or related areas
- Strong knowledge of sustainable resource management principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated passion for environmental preservation and commitment to sustainable living
