We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Professional Conservator to join our team in the Northern Cape province of South Africa.

Role Overview

  • Assess the conservation needs of our natural resources and environmental assets.
  • Develop and implement strategies for preserving and protecting our valuable ecosystems.
  • Collaborate with artists, educators, and scientists to create innovative projects and initiatives.
  • Conduct research on sustainable energy solutions and advise on environmentally friendly practices for our facilities.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, techniques, and best practices in conservation and environmental preservation.
  • Train and mentor young artists interested in utilizing their skills for environmental advocacy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Fine Arts, Environmental Science, or Conservation.
  • Proven experience in conservation and environmental projects, preferably in an artistic or youth-focused context.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental principles, sustainability, and renewable energy sources.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with a diverse team of professionals and artists.
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex environmental challenges.
  • Passion for mentoring and empowering young individuals through art.
