Job Summary:

Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as an Environmental Advocacy Coordinator. In this position, you will be responsible for leading RVCC's efforts in promoting environmental awareness, sustainability, and responsible practices.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement innovative strategies to raise environmental consciousness and encourage environmentally-friendly practices within RVCC and the wider community.
Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to lead campus-wide initiatives related to environmental sustainability.
Organize and oversee educational campaigns, events, and workshops aimed at highlighting the importance of environmental stewardship and sustainable living.
Establish partnerships with local environmental organizations and collaborate on joint initiatives.
Manage RVCC's recycling and waste management programs, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Research and apply for grants and funding opportunities to support environmental projects and initiatives.
Stay updated on current environmental issues, trends, and best practices, and share relevant information with the RVCC community.
Develop and maintain relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members to foster a culture of environmental responsibility.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
Experience in planning and implementing environmental initiatives.
Strong knowledge of environmental issues, conservation practices, and sustainable development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse environment.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Proficiency in using technology and social media for outreach and communication purposes.
