Are you passionate about the welfare of animals and preserving our natural world? Maryland Public Television is seeking a dedicated individual to fill the position of Wildlife Conservation Specialist. As a Wildlife Conservation Specialist, you'll play a vital role in the protection and conservation of our state's natural habitats and native wildlife.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct field research to monitor and assess wildlife populations
- Develop and implement conservation strategies to mitigate threats to local wildlife
- Collaborate with government agencies and environmental organizations
- Educate the community through public awareness programs
- Advocate for effective wildlife management policies and initiatives
- Participate in rescue and rehabilitation efforts for injured or orphaned animals
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related field
- Experience working with wildlife and conducting field research
- Strong knowledge of local wildlife species, habitats, and conservation issues
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse team
- Passion for promoting wildlife welfare and environmental sustainability
