Position Overview:

As a Rural Development Specialist, you will play a vital role in expanding the horizons of our agricultural and rural programs, both at home and abroad. Your responsibilities will include:

Identifying and assessing international development opportunities within the agricultural sector
Collaborating with local and global partners to implement sustainable agricultural practices
Providing guidance on agricultural policies, regulations, and industry trends in various countries
Creating strategies to promote rural development and enhance agricultural productivity
Offering technical assistance and training to farmers, extension agents, and stakeholders
Developing and managing projects to foster agricultural innovation and entrepreneurship globally

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field, such as agriculture, rural development, or international relations
Proven experience in the agriculture sector, preferably within diverse cultural and geographical contexts
Strong understanding of global agricultural practices and challenges
Excellent communication and negotiation skills for building international partnerships
Ability to travel nationally and internationally as required
Proficiency in one or more foreign languages is a plus
