Job Overview:

The University of Missouri System is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking individual to join our team as an Innovation and Growth Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for driving innovation and growth within the Pet Solutions domain. We are looking for someone who is passionate about animals and the well-being of pets, and who can think creatively to develop new solutions and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify Emerging Needs: Conduct market research and identify emerging trends, needs, and opportunities within the pet industry. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and technologies.
  • Develop Innovative Solutions: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and services that meet the evolving needs of pet owners. Drive the ideation and development process.
  • Strategic Planning: Create strategic plans and roadmaps to guide the implementation of new initiatives. Define goals, metrics, and success criteria.
  • Partnership Management: Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in the pet industry, including veterinarians, pet suppliers, and animal organizations.
  • Market Expansion: Identify opportunities for market expansion and develop strategies to maximize growth within the pet solutions sector.
  • Project Management: Oversee the execution of projects, ensuring timely delivery, resource allocation, and effective communication throughout the process.
  • Collaboration: Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation, working closely with internal teams, external partners, and researchers to drive meaningful change and positive impact.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced degree is preferred.
  • Proven track record in innovation management or product development, preferably within the pet industry.
  • Deep understanding of the pet solutions market and the latest industry trends.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and market insights.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Passion for innovation, animals, and pets, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
