We are currently hiring for the position of Community Outreach Coordinator.
Normandy Association of Social Services Advocates is a nonprofit organization based in the beautiful region of Normandy, France, aiming to provide assistance and support to individuals in need. We are now expanding our services to include the welfare and well-being of pets and animals. As part of this expansion, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Community Outreach Coordinator.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to raise awareness of animal welfare issues within the community
- Collaborate with local organizations and veterinary clinics to organize events and campaigns
- Educate the public on responsible pet ownership and the importance of spaying/neutering
- Coordinate adoption events and facilitate matches between potential owners and animals in need
- Work with schools and community centers to provide educational programs on animal care and protection
- Support and assist individuals in crisis situations involving pets or animals
Requirements:
- Passion for animal welfare and a genuine love for animals
- Prior experience in community outreach or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to organize and manage events
- Knowledge of local resources and networks relating to pet services and animal welfare
- Proficiency in both English and French
