We are currently seeking a talented Communications Specialist to join our team!

Role and Responsibilities:

Develop and execute communication strategies to enhance the Centre's visibility.
Create engaging and informative content to convey complex research findings in an accessible manner.
Manage the Centre's online presence by maintaining and updating our website.
Collaborate with researchers to identify relevant stories, publications, and events.
Build and sustain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
Monitor social media platforms, trends, and conversations related to our work.
Organize and coordinate press conferences, workshops, and public events.
Produce high-quality written materials, including press releases, articles, and reports.
Support the development of fundraising proposals and donor engagement strategies.
Stay updated on the latest communication trends and evaluate their potential for the Centre.

Qualifications and Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
Proven experience in communications, public relations, or a related field.
Ability to translate complex scientific concepts into engaging content for diverse audiences.
Proficiency in web management, including content management systems and basic HTML/CSS.
Familiarity with photography, video editing, and graphic design tools.
Experience coordinating and managing social media channels.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
