Position: River Restoration Specialist

Job Summary:

Develop and implement river restoration plans, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and sustainable practices.
Collaborate with various stakeholders to create and maintain a comprehensive river restoration strategy.
Assess the impact of floods on the river and develop efficient mitigation measures.
Monitor water quality and implement measures to improve river health.
Utilize remote sensing techniques and GIS tools to analyze data and identify potential restoration areas.
Conduct research on river ecosystems, wildlife, and vegetation to inform restoration projects.
Manage projects, including budget estimation, timeline development, and contractor coordination.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in environmental science, civil engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
3+ years of experience in river restoration, environmental management, or a related industry.
Extensive knowledge of river ecology, watershed management, and flood risk assessment.
Proficiency in remote sensing, GIS, and relevant software tools.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
