Position Overview

We are currently looking for an Animal Care Specialist with a background in aviation. You will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of the animals in our care, while also applying your unique skills and knowledge from the aviation industry.

Responsibilities:

Provide daily care and support to animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercise.
Assist with medical procedures, vaccinations, and treatments under the guidance of a veterinarian.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for animals, following all established protocols.
Apply your aviation expertise to enhance our animal care practices, such as implementing flight simulation techniques to reduce stress during transportation.
Educate staff and volunteers on aviation-related topics, promoting awareness and understanding among the team.
Collaborate with other departments to develop innovative programs that merge animal welfare with aviation principles.
Conduct research to stay updated on advancements in aviation practices that can benefit animal care.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in animal care or veterinary services.
Strong knowledge or background in aviation with a focus on aerospace.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of animal care.
Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
