Position: Ecological Landscape Designer

Ålands Nautical School is a renowned institution in Åland, Finland, dedicated to promoting ecological practices and rural development. We are looking for a talented Ecological Landscape Designer to join our team and contribute to the sustainable development of our beautiful countryside.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop customized ecological landscapes that align with sustainable farming practices and rural aesthetics.
Collaborate with farmers, landowners, and local stakeholders to understand their needs and visions.
Create detailed design plans, including planting schemes, irrigation systems, and land usage recommendations.
Implement landscape projects and oversee their successful completion.
Provide ongoing support and maintenance recommendations to clients to ensure the long-term sustainability of implemented landscapes.
Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and innovations in ecological landscape design.

Requirements:

A degree in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Science, or related fields.
Proven experience in designing and implementing ecological landscapes.
Strong knowledge of sustainable farming practices and rural development.
Proficiency in landscape design software and CAD programs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
A passion for environmental conservation and sustainable living.
