About Us:
The Louisiana Department of Health - Office of Aging and Adult Services - Region 5 is dedicated to improving the quality of life for Louisiana's elderly and disabled residents. We are currently seeking compassionate individuals to join our team in a unique role that focuses on providing care and support to a vulnerable population.
Position: Helping Hands Specialist
Responsibilities:
- Assess and address the needs of elderly and disabled residents in the Region 5 area
- Coordinate and facilitate appropriate support services
- Act as a liaison between community resources and individuals in need
- Provide advocacy for individuals to ensure their well-being
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to develop care plans
Requirements:
- Passion for helping others and making a positive impact
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to empathize and build rapport with elderly and disabled individuals
- Knowledge of community resources and support services
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
