Job Description:
At Safaricom, we are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Advisor to join our team. As a Regulatory Compliance Advisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that our operations and business practices adhere to the legal and regulatory requirements set forth by the relevant authorities.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and interpret legal and regulatory developments within the telecommunications industry.
- Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
- Conduct internal audits to identify areas of non-compliance and develop corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulations in all business operations.
- Provide advice and guidance on legal and regulatory matters to various stakeholders.
- Keep abreast of changes in legislation and advise management on potential impacts.
- Create and deliver training programs on compliance-related topics for employees.
- Prepare and submit reports to regulatory bodies as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law or related field.
- Admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar regulatory compliance role.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of telecommunications laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
