Seattle Art Museum, one of the leading cultural institutions in Washington State, is looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Flexibility-oriented Logistics Specialist.

About the Role:
As a Flexibility-oriented Logistics Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of artworks and artifacts within and outside the museum. You will be responsible for:
- Coordinating secure transportation of art pieces for exhibitions, loans, and acquisitions.
- Preparing detailed transportation plans, including packaging, handling, and storage requirements.
- Managing logistics for traveling exhibitions, including coordinating with external venues and overseeing the safe installation and de-installation of artworks.
- Collaborating with curators, registrars, and conservation teams to ensure the proper handling and care of delicate or fragile artworks.
- Maintaining accurate records of all transportation activities, including condition reports and insurance documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Art History, Museum Studies, Supply Chain Management, etc.)
- Prior experience in logistics or related fields with a strong focus on attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and best practices in the transportation of art objects.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
