Vermont Department of Health is a highly respected organization dedicated to safeguarding the environment and promoting public health. We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Professional Environmental Geologist to join our team.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive environmental assessments utilizing advanced geologic techniques and tools
  • Analyze and interpret geologic data to assess potential environmental risks
  • Develop strategies for managing environmental impact and implementing mitigation measures
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide professional guidance on environmental regulations and policies
  • Prepare concise reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Extensive knowledge of geologic principles, techniques, and methodologies
  • Proven track record of conducting successful environmental assessments and investigations
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
  • Proficient in using GIS, remote sensing, and other geospatial analysis tools
  • Experience working with state and federal environmental regulations is a plus
