Vermont Department of Health is a highly respected organization dedicated to safeguarding the environment and promoting public health. We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Professional Environmental Geologist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive environmental assessments utilizing advanced geologic techniques and tools
Analyze and interpret geologic data to assess potential environmental risks
Develop strategies for managing environmental impact and implementing mitigation measures
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide professional guidance on environmental regulations and policies
Prepare concise reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field
Extensive knowledge of geologic principles, techniques, and methodologies
Proven track record of conducting successful environmental assessments and investigations
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
Proficient in using GIS, remote sensing, and other geospatial analysis tools
Experience working with state and federal environmental regulations is a plus
