As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Sustainable Solutions Specialist.

Role Overview:

As a Sustainable Solutions Specialist at Connecticut Veterans Legal Center, you will focus on developing innovative strategies to address environmental challenges in our community. In this role, you will work closely with veterans, legal professionals, and environmental experts to advocate for sustainable solutions that positively impact both the environment and our veteran community.

Your Responsibilities:

Research and analyze existing energy and environmental policies and programs
Identify opportunities for sustainable solutions and the integration of green practices
Develop partnerships with relevant organizations and industry stakeholders
Advise the legal team on potential environmental impacts and applicable regulations
Collaborate with veterans to understand their unique needs and challenges
Design educational programs to raise awareness about energy conservation and environmental protection
Assist veterans in accessing energy-efficient resources and financial assistance programs
Stay up-to-date on emerging energy and environmental trends, technologies, and regulations
Support the development and implementation of sustainable initiatives and projects

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Environmental Science, Sustainability, Public Policy)
Experience working with veterans or in a related non-profit organization
Strong understanding of energy and environmental issues
Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and policies
Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
Passion for creating sustainable change and advocating for veteran rights
Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently and collaboratively
