Nicholas County Schools is seeking a passionate individual to join our team as an Athletics Program Coordinator. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our diverse and inclusive environment while fostering excellence and promoting teamwork.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and manage athletic programs within the school district
Develop and implement strategies to ensure equal opportunities for all students
Collaborate with staff, coaches, and parents to create a positive environment for student-athletes
Organize sports events, including scheduling, facility preparations, and overseeing game-day operations
Provide guidance and support to coaches and student-athletes
Monitor academic performance, attendance, and behavior of student-athletes
Implement diversity and inclusion initiatives, fostering an environment that celebrates multiculturalism and respect for all
Stay updated with current trends and best practices in athletics and student development

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Education, or related field
Prior experience in coordinating or managing sports programs
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Understanding of diversity and inclusion principles and a commitment to promoting these values
Knowledge of rules, regulations, and safety standards for various sports
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals
