Seeking a Dedicated Fire Safety Trainer

St. Pauls Fire Department is actively looking for an exceptional individual with a passion for fire safety education. As a Fire Safety Trainer, you will play a critical role in our department by developing and delivering comprehensive training programs to improve fire safety awareness and preparedness in our community.


Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver interactive fire safety training sessions to diverse audiences, including students, families, and local businesses.
  • Create engaging educational materials, such as presentations, handouts, and online resources, to support training initiatives.
  • Organize and conduct fire drills, demonstrating proper evacuation procedures and emergency response protocols.
  • Collaborate with other firefighters to develop specialized training sessions tailored to specific demographics or industries.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fire safety regulations, codes, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in delivering educational content or training programs.
  • Deep knowledge of fire safety principles, procedures, and prevention strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong organizational skills to effectively plan, schedule, and coordinate training sessions.
  • Certification as a Firefighter or completion of a relevant fire academy.
  • Fire Instructor I certification or willingness to obtain it within six months of employment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
