Job Title: Energy Resource Specialist

Cleco Power is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as an Energy Resource Specialist. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by driving energy efficiency and promoting sustainable practices in the community.

About the Role

Conduct comprehensive energy audits and assessments for residential, commercial, and industrial customers to identify energy-saving opportunities.
Develop and deliver engaging presentations and training sessions to educate customers and community members on energy conservation and demand response programs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement energy efficiency initiatives and projects.
Analyze energy consumption data, identify trends, and recommend strategies for optimizing energy usage.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies related to energy efficiency and renewable energy.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Prior experience in conducting energy audits, implementing energy efficiency projects, or delivering training on energy-related topics is preferred.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret energy consumption data.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage and educate diverse audiences.
Knowledge of energy codes, standards, and regulations.
Proficiency in using energy modeling software and data analysis tools.
Demonstrated passion for sustainability, renewable energy, and environmental stewardship.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
