Anne Arundel Medical Center, a leading healthcare organization in Maryland, is seeking a highly skilled Performance Enhancement Specialist to join our renowned Sports Medicine Department. As a Performance Enhancement Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the well-being and athletic performance of our diverse patient population.



Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement customized exercise programs to improve athletic performance, prevent injuries, and aid in rehabilitation.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify specific strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, physical therapists, and nutritionists to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and group coaching sessions to guide patients through proper exercise techniques and ensure progress towards their goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and trends in performance enhancement, injury prevention, and rehabilitation.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field.
  • Certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES), or similar credential.
  • Proven experience working with athletes or individuals seeking to improve performance.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics related to sports performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients and the healthcare team.
  • Ability to develop and modify exercise programs based on individual needs and goals.
