We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team at West Virginia United Health System as Agriculture Resource Specialists. As a leading healthcare provider in West Virginia, we understand the vital role that Agriculture/Rural industries play in our community's health and well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with local farmers, agricultural organizations, and rural communities to assess their healthcare needs
- Develop and implement programs aimed at improving the overall health and wellness of individuals working in the Agriculture/Rural sector
- Provide guidance on agricultural practices that promote environmental sustainability and food safety
- Educate farmers and rural communities about occupational health and safety measures
- Conduct health screenings and wellness workshops tailored to the specific needs of the Agriculture/Rural population
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, government regulations, and research findings related to Agriculture/Rural health
- Work closely with healthcare providers to ensure seamless coordination of care for agriculture workers and individuals in rural areas
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Science, Rural Development, Public Health, or a related field
- Experience in working with rural communities and/or the Agriculture sector
- Strong knowledge of agricultural practices, rural healthcare challenges, and relevant regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with farmers, community leaders, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to conduct research, analyze data, and develop evidence-based strategies to address agricultural health concerns
- Proven organizational and project management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
