Position: Coastal Development Project Manager
Job Description:
- Lead and manage various coastal development projects in the region.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategic plans for sustainable construction and real estate activities.
- Evaluate potential construction sites and assess their environmental impact.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and promote environmentally friendly practices.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other relevant parties.
- Provide guidance on design and construction considerations to minimize ecological impact.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and obstacles during project implementation.
- Monitor and report on project progress to stakeholders and management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, civil engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project management within the construction or real estate industry.
- Strong knowledge of coastal ecosystems, environmental regulations, and sustainable development practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead a diverse team.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluency in English. Knowledge of Icelandic is a plus.
- Willingness to travel to project sites within the Northeastern Region of Iceland.
