Position: Coastal Development Project Manager

Job Description:

  • Lead and manage various coastal development projects in the region.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategic plans for sustainable construction and real estate activities.
  • Evaluate potential construction sites and assess their environmental impact.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and promote environmentally friendly practices.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other relevant parties.
  • Provide guidance on design and construction considerations to minimize ecological impact.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and obstacles during project implementation.
  • Monitor and report on project progress to stakeholders and management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, civil engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project management within the construction or real estate industry.
  • Strong knowledge of coastal ecosystems, environmental regulations, and sustainable development practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead a diverse team.
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Fluency in English. Knowledge of Icelandic is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites within the Northeastern Region of Iceland.
