Your Responsibilities:

  • Identify and assess emerging trends and opportunities within the agribusiness sector.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract investment, promote value-adding initiatives, and enhance agribusiness capabilities.
  • Collaborate with industry stakeholders, government agencies, and regional organizations to facilitate business growth and development.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on agribusiness-related matters to government bodies, industry associations, and farmers.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify gaps and potential challenges in the industry, and propose innovative solutions.
  • Deliver workshops, seminars, and training programs to support knowledge sharing and skills development in the agribusiness sector.

Your Qualifications:

  • A degree in Agriculture, Rural Studies, Agribusiness, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development, preferably within the agriculture or rural sector.
  • Strong knowledge of regional development, agricultural practices, and value chain analysis.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to foster relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Sound understanding of government policies, regulations, and funding opportunities relevant to agribusiness.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment and independently when required.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking abilities.
