Position: Nature Preservation Associate

Austurland Community Nature Preserve, located in the beautiful Eastern Region of Iceland, is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team. As a Nature Preservation Associate, you will play a crucial role in promoting sustainability, environmental awareness, and conservation efforts in our diverse and inclusive community.

Your Role:

Monitor and evaluate nature preservation programs in the region
Assist in developing sustainable manufacturing practices
Collaborate with local businesses to promote eco-friendly initiatives
Educate visitors on the importance of environmental conservation
Support research projects related to biodiversity and wildlife
Organize and lead community volunteer programs
Contribute to the development of nature trails and recreational areas

Requirements:

A passion for nature preservation, conservation, and sustainability
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse cultures
Ability to undertake fieldwork and work in outdoor environments
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in project management and data analysis
