We are hiring a Sports Events Coordinator:

  • Collaborate with local sports teams and event organizers to plan, coordinate, and manage sports events hosted by Port Authority of Allegheny County.

  • Develop and execute event marketing strategies to maximize attendance and engagement.

  • Coordinate logistics, including venue selection, equipment rental, and catering services.

  • Supervise event staff and volunteers, ensuring smooth operations during the events.

  • Collaborate with team members to create event budgets, track expenses, and evaluate event success.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners in the Sports/Entertainment industry.



Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Experience in event planning, preferably in the Sports/Entertainment sector.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with various stakeholders.

  • Creative mindset and ability to think outside the box when planning events.

  • Proficient in using event management software and technology.
