We are looking for a passionate and committed individual to fill the role of Rural Development Specialist. About the Festival:

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement sustainable rural development programs to enhance agricultural practices in Uppsala län
  • Collaborate with local farmers, agricultural organizations, and government stakeholders to identify needs and opportunities for improvement
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on efficient resource management, crop rotation, organic farming, and other innovative techniques
  • Develop training materials, workshops, and educational sessions to support farmers' professional growth and promote sustainable agricultural practices
  • Stay updated on industry trends, research findings, and advancements in agricultural technology
  • Participate in fundraising activities to support the implementation of rural development projects
  • Evaluate the impact and effectiveness of implemented programs and propose adjustments for ongoing improvement

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Studies, or Rural Development
  • Proven experience in the agricultural sector, working on sustainability and rural development projects
  • Deep understanding of local farming practices, challenges, and opportunities in Uppsala län
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with farmers, stakeholders, and the community
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas and technical concepts effectively
  • Proficiency in Swedish and English
